I began my mortgage career in 1985 at my hometown Savings & Loan. Since that time I’ve experienced the complete spectrum offered by the industry; the good, the bad and the ugly! One thing that has always remained constant throughout the highs and the lows is that taking care of the customer is the most important part of being successful. The customer needs to have all of his questions answered and should be given a clear path to closing. Knowing what to expect and how to address any given incident is imperative to a smooth transaction. My years in the industry have afforded me a vast depth of experience to draw upon for any given situation.
There is not a facet of the mortgage market that I have not worked with. I’ve helped first-time buyers with CDA loans and similar programs, Veterans with their VA financing, USDA purchasers as well as conventional, jumbo & portfolio lending for those in need of a loan that may not fit traditional programs. However, my first love in this industry has remained my true love. I most enjoy helping people build their dream home. Whether the project is $400,000.00 or $4,000,000.00, whether you’ve got 3.5% to put down and need an FHA construction loan or you’re a Veteran and have no money to put down or you would like to put 5% to 20% down; one thing remains the same: you are building your dream home! This is an opportunity that usually comes once in a lifetime and it involves so much more than purchasing an existing home. I enjoy the excitement of walking people through the transaction then being there when they walk through the front door of the finished home. There are many moving pieces involved with a construction loan that demand an experienced lender to ensure smooth sailing.
